Questions

Q: How long do I need to sign-up for?

A: You can either subscribe to a monthly package, in which case we will keep sending you out boxes each month until you cancel, or you can sign-up for a fixed period of 3, 6, or 12 months.  We also supply our “all in one package” Labs in a Box – 10, 24, 48 or 72 hours of fun experimentation in one delivery.

How do I cancel?

You can cancel at any time – you just need to let us know before the 25th of the month to stop the next box from arriving and being charged for. Just email us at info@stemkitsbypost.co.uk if you wish to cancel – no questions asked.  If your card has already been charged for the next month’s box, you will receive a full refund within 7 days.

Q: How much does it cost?

Please refer to our packages page as different packages are available.

Q: I have a Voucher Code.  How do I use it?

Click on the “Add Promotion Code” link on the checkout page.  Enter your code and the discount will automatically be applied.

Q: Which day of the month are boxes sent out?

A: We send out the boxes on the first working day of the month. These are sent by Royal mail/other couriers and take 3-5 working days to arrive, so you should receive your monthly box between the 4th and the 7th of the Month. We have special Christmas deliveries available to allow you to receive the first box to a different address ealier allowing you to hand it over as a present in time for Christmas.

Q: I’m buying a package as a present for someone else. can I get the first box delivered to a different address so i don’t ruin the surprise?

A: Yes, this is not a problem – just enter the details on the checkout page.

Q: What age group are the kits suitable for?

A: We mainly target the contents at those studying for GCSEs, but the kits are suitable for anyone aged around 10 or over. Adults find our kits just as much fun as school-age younger people – Science and Maths are for everyone!

Q: Do you deliver outside the UK?

No, we only deliver to the UK mainland currently.

Q: When will I be charged?

If you are buying a fixed term package, your card will be charged for the period once your order has been accepted and processed. You will receive your first box at the beginning of the following month (unless ordering our special Christmas packages in which case the first box will be delivered to the specified initial address by 20th December to allow you to hand over in person as a present).

If you are subscribing to our monthly ongoing deliveries, your card will be charged monthly on the same day of the month. Your box will be dispatched on the first working day of the following month as long as you have ordered by the 25th of the current month, and you should expect to receive it within a few days. You will receive an email each time a payment is successfully taken from your card and we will contact you if there is ever a problem with a payment going through.

Q: Which credit cards are accepted?

We currently accept Visa and Mastercard Credit and Debit cards. We also accept payment via paypal.  If ordering a subscription, we can also accept Apple Pay for the 2nd and subsequent payments.

Q: What should I do if I do not receive an expected delivery or it was not able to be delivered?

We use either Royal Mail or other couriers to carry out our deliveries. If delivery is not possible both will leave you with alternative delivery/pick-up options. If you have not received an expected box by the end of the 7th working day of the month, and have not heard from us, please contact us at info@stemkitsbypost.co.uk.

Q: How do I change my payment method, billing address or otherwise manage my account billing?
